The company first started making tubular metal furniture frames in 1995 and we are are still making metal furniture underframes every day true to our roots. Working with some of the biggest names in the industry, The Tube Creation Company has a well renowned reputation for quality products, expert knowledge backed by unrivalled service.
We not only work alongside some of the countries leading contract furniture companies, designer manufacturers but also increasingly with FFE consultants on a project by project basis in order to delivery exactly the right product to fit the right budget.
Bob & Chris Vyse established The Tube Creation Company in 1995, to manufacture metal furniture components primarily for the office and educational sector.
Bob and Chris have since retired, but the core aim remains true – though with an emphasis away from chairs and now almost exclusively on table frames.
The Tube Creation Company are still making metal furniture underframes for the office and educational market but also increasingly to the leisure sector (mainly hotels, restaurants and bars).
On Bob & Chris’s retirement in 2014, the business was bought by Jake Bailey, who had been a customer of the company for some years and had many years of experience in the world of contract furniture.
His aim - to follow the founders’ values but move the business forward to keep pace with the ever changing furniture market – by investing in people, systems and new plant and machinery.
Testament to this is the move at the end of 2016 into a new factory twice the size of the old one. This created the space we needed to expand, room for new equipment and a massive improvement in health and safety and working conditions, as well as a considerably bigger and better office element.
In November 2019, due to the significant growth in the business, the company doubled the size of the factory again and took on a brand new purpose built warehouse. This has led to a huge re-organisation of the existing, interlinked, factory which has significantly improved workflow and led to many operational improvements. New offices have also been created in the new building, improving the working environment for our sales, design and support team.
